Gene Hoffman
Chief Executive Officer
Gene Hoffman, Jr. has served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Permuto Capital since December 2024. Mr. Hoffman has served as Chia Network’s Chief Executive Officer since January 2023,President and a member of board of directors since December 2019, and Chief Operating Officer from December 2019 to December 2022. Mr. Hoffman was an advisor to Chia Network from September 2017 until December 2019 when he joined Chia Network full time. From September 2003 to December 2016, Mr. Hoffman served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Vindicia, Inc., a subscription payments company that was acquired by Amdocs Ltd. in September 2016. From January 1998 to May 2002, Mr. Hoffman co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer, President, and a director of Emusic.com Inc., a publicly traded online music store, which was acquired by Universal Music Group in April 2001.
Misha Graboi
Chief Financial Officer
Misha Graboi has served as Chief Financial Officer of Permuto Capital since December 2024. Mr Graboi has served as Chia Network’s Chief Financial Officer since May 2021. From April 2019 to June 2020, Mr. Graboi served as Chief Executive Officer of Delta-V Global Management Pte. Ltd., a consulting firm to asset management companies. From August 2008 to December 2018, Mr. Graboi served in various roles at Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company/PAAMCO Prisma (“PAAMCO”), an investment firm, most recently as Chief Executive Officer for PAAMCO Asia Pte. Ltd. Mr. Graboi served as Executive Director and Head, European Internet Equity Research of Goldman Sachs, an investment bank, from June 2000 to December 2001. Mr. Graboi earned his Chartered Financial Analyst Designation (CFA) in September 2010. Mr. Graboi holds a B.S. from Georgetown University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Chris McMillan
Chief Strategy Officer
Christopher McMillan has served as Chief Strategy Officer of Permuto Capital since December 2024. Mr. McMillan brings over 15 years of dynamic experience in M&A and capital markets, having held impactful roles at some of the most respected financial institutions, including Credit Suisse, Wells Fargo, Cain Brothers, Truist, and Deutsche Bank. Throughout his career, Chris has established himself as a trusted advisor to businesses at the forefront of software, internet, and emerging technologies. His knack for understanding market trends and navigating complex transactions has earned him a reputation for delivering exceptional results. A proud graduate of Georgia Tech, Chris holds a B.S. in Management with a focus on Finance and Accounting. His academic foundation, paired with his real-world expertise, empowers him to deliver insightful strategies that help businesses thrive in a fast-paced, competitive landscape.
Greg Ellis
Chief Operating Officer
Gregory Ellis has served as the Chief Operating Officer of Permuto Capital since December 2024.. Mr. Ellis has also served as the President of Semper Global Group, LP since February 2023. Previously, Mr. Ellis served as President and COO of Semper Capital Management, LP and as an Executive Director in the M&A department at JPMorgan Securities, Inc. Mr. Ellis holds an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and a B.A. from Saint Lawrence University.
Greg Parsons
Managing Director
Greg Parsons has served as a Managing Director of Permuto Capital since December 2024. Mr. Parsons is a dynamic leader with a career spanning over 25 years at the intersection of finance, strategy, and service. Greg is the Chief Executive Officer of CAVU Securities, LLC, a registered broker-dealer. Known for his forward-thinking vision, Greg is not only shaping CAVU’s strategic growth but also forging impactful partnerships and championing philanthropic causes. A seasoned entrepreneur, Greg also founded Semper Capital Management, where he earned a reputation for delivering creative investment strategies. Earlier in his career, he honed his problem-solving expertise as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company and developed unmatched leadership skills as an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps. A proud Princeton University graduate, he is a passionate advocate for veterans and underserved youth. Greg founded the Semper True North Foundation, serves on the board of The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, and is an active member of the Northeast Board of Governors for the Boys & Girls Club of America.
